The Titanic
The White Star Liner Titanic was a perfect symbol for the gilded era. A floating city, she came to grief in a few hours off the Grand Banks, in April 1912. The wealth of information about this liner calls for a separate page, accessed both through Transportation, and The Gilded Age.

        Titanic Radio Page
An excellent site, detailing all aspects of the doomed liner's radio operations, as well as a wealth of information about wireless procedures, range, hours, and stations on steamers and shore circa 1912.
