A Game set in Interplanetary Space in the High Victorian Era at INTERCON "B" Presented by Gordon and Stephanie Olmstead-Dean (VIA) You MUST be on our list of registrants for INTERCON-B to receive a character. We will do two runs of casting, one in mid-February and one about nine days before the Convention. We accept players in order of their registration for INTERCON-B, not their questionnaire responses. This questionnaire is for casting purposes only and does not imply your registration for R.M.S. Empress of Syrtis, or Intercon B. |
If you've played my previous games, please note that this game will be substantially lighter on background. We are running with a published rules set, in a published world. R.M.S. Syrtis is an experiment in designing a game which can be picked up and cast fairly quickly, using the published RTLB Rules. You don't need to buy Frank Chadwick's Space: 1889 to enjoy the
game, but it is a good game, and is available once again for sale, from
Heliograph http://www.heliograph.com/space1889/.
Only the basic Space: 1889 book is referenced by R.M.S. Empress
of Syrtis, and the GMs may take slight liberties with the background
material. We have some briefing material on Space: 1889 available, but we may not legally distribute it publicly - as GMs, we can only give it to players who are actually playing our game, as per the copyright notations in our copy of the material. Therefore, we cannot post it on this page, but we will send it to you if you request. The game will be run under Interactivities Ink's Rules to Live By (RTLB) system for LARP. While you don't need to buy RTLB, it is an excellent LARP rules system, available at: http://www.interactivitiesink.com/larps/index.html You must be registered for Intercon to recieve a character and play! |
