Children at the Tea: A Cautionary Note
Please note that this event, while entertaining to adults, is likely to be deadly dull to a child under the age of sixteen. This is likely to cause a child to act out in ways that would be detrimental to others' enjoyment of the tea. Further, the hosts will be carrying heavy trays of food and scalding hot liquid through the house at regular intervals, and will have neither the time nor the inclination to check whether your child is underfoot. Unless you can keep your child at your side at all times, without enlisting the help of other guests at the tea, we urge you to hire a babysitter and join us without the young ones.
